I have been asked many times recently about the “boston west veterinary” as the name of an online veterinary practice. The concept of a veterinary practice in Boston where most of the care is taken by a small number of veterinarians is very different than what we have in St. Petersburg, Florida.
In St. Petersburg we have a small practice with a small number of veterinarians. Our clientele is mostly pet owners who don’t have the time to make it worth their while to get care from us. Our practice is far more specialized than it is in Boston. We don’t treat horses or pets, we treat animals with certain ailments, and we are a very small practice, a few hundred of us.
We spend a lot of time with our clients, talking with them about their medical conditions, their pets, and their lifestyle. We are a small practice, a very small practice, with a small number of veterinarians.
