In case you’re wondering, purring is a very strong feeling in cats. They appear to be an animal who doesn’t really have a sense of emotion at all, and thus their behavior can be quite strange. In fact, Purrs are a very common behavior, so this behavior itself is pretty rare.
And when they purr we can feel it. It’s like a sort of “giggling with happiness.” It’s a very subtle and delicate behavior.
Even though purring is a common behavior in cats, it’s not one that breeds so easily. We have so many cats in our family that many of them purr frequently; I think it makes them feel more alive.
It’s one thing to say you have a cat who purrs, but I’m not sure it’s as common to see someone with a cat who purrs. In fact, the purr is something I often ask my cat if she has a purr. No she doesn’t. It’s almost like what I said before about the cat who wags its tail and purrs, but it doesn’t feel as natural and doesn’t feel as comfortable.
You can try this. Pick up your cat and take them outside. Give them a treat and try to coax them a little into purring. If you can not get them to purr, then perhaps try switching it up by giving them food and then a treat together. This is similar to what we do for dogs. Cats wag their tails and purr together is one of those things that is quite easy. Dogs wag their tails and purr together is a much more difficult task.
Well cats are one of those things that have a natural way of doing this and so your best bet is to try and coax them into doing it. They have a natural, instinctual need to do this and it can be very challenging. And that’s also why cats are not particularly fond of being alone.
You might be wondering what would happen if we were to do this to dogs. Well, our pets definitely have a natural way of doing this, but you might think it is impossible because dogs are bigger than cats. That’s not true. Dogs are actually quite small (in terms of their weight) and cats are about 10 times larger than dogs.
Now that you’ve got cats trying to wag their tails and purr, we need to break this down even more. You see, cats are highly social, so they may have been more likely to get caught in the act. Dogs, on the other hand, are not, so you can imagine they would be more likely to get out of the way and let them do their thing. However, cats are also more intelligent and more social than dogs.
