I live on the west side of Phoenix and have been a customer of PetSmart for almost two years. I would love to see what all the fuss is about with this place. The prices are right, the employees know what they are doing, the employees are so nice, and the store is clean. There is a reason PetSmart has been the number one pet store in the nation for the past decade.
PetSmart has always had a fantastic reputation, but in a lot of ways it’s an anomaly. As always, this is largely due to the fact that it’s so thoroughly integrated into the corporate DNA of the country. The other reason is that PetSmart is owned by a subsidiary of the parent company, while most other pet stores are privately owned. In the past, pet stores have been an easy target for animal rights activists.
PetSmart’s owner has been a vocal opponent of animal cruelty, and that doesn’t surprise me. Their own owner, John Hall, wrote “A Pet is not a pet dog nor a pet cat. It is a companion. That is why the word is so important. It is the most important word in the English language. It is the most important word in the world. It is the most important word in the whole world.
I have no idea how much of it is true, but it’s hard not to think that John Hall was not a terrible person for thinking that way. And I don’t mean that in a good way. When I think of John Hall, I think of a good person who was a great father, a very kind husband and family man that, in his opinion, was pretty much the perfect man.
A lot of people have this belief in the “perfect” man and they think that every person has to be like him. But actually, a lot of people have a better life than John Hall, and they are the ones who were the most successful, the ones who were the most popular.
In my humble opinion, if you look at the average life span of dogs it’s between about 60 and 80 years. And by that I mean, dogs that have been around for that long. Think about that for a minute. If you consider a dog to be something that has been around a lot longer than the average human, does that make any sense? Dogs are extremely smart, and when they are happy, they are very happy.
The reality is that the average dog’s lifespan is about a century. So if you think that dogs are so smart you would want to go off with them to a pet store to purchase some of their kibble, you’re absolutely right. But the reason that life spans of dogs are so long is because there are so many of them that live for over a century. You don’t have to be a dog owner to notice that.
The only explanation is that dogs are so smart that they have created a special, invisible time-loop that allows them to live an extra 100 years in the future, and they have a pet store in their pocket. While we can only speculate on the reason, its pretty amazing that one of the most intelligent, happy, and well-adjusted animals on the planet could be the reason why.
The pet store phoenix is a dog that is so powerful that when its owner dies, the pet store phoenix takes over the owner’s corpse and lives there for a century. It’s not quite as cool as a time-loop pet store, but it is still cool.
I can’t say I’m a fan of the pet store phoenix, but it is cool. Just remember that in a hundred years, when you go to feed the pet store phoenix, you’ll wake up in a future where your pet store phoenix won’t be around.
